German Americans are the largest immigrant group in the USA. Between 1840 and 1900, the largest migration of Germans came to this country. What would BBQ's be without Hamburgers and Frankfurters. Hamburg and Frankfurt are both German cities where these foods are named for (respectively). It is no coincidence that the breweries in this country are located in Milwaukee, a city founded by may German Americans.
